UNI Yeah! is a UNI Youth campaign created to amplify the voice of young workers across the world; showcasing their work, their voices and the issues that matter to young people.
We aim to share stories, campaigns and activities from young workers, to raise the visibility of these issues and emphasise the importance of their work for the trade union movement.

Violence has a serious impact on long term mental health.
From PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) to depression and anxiety, it impacts our well-being and makes us more likely to abuse substances. It reduces our potential and limits our productivity and contributions to our communities.
In other words, there is no mental health with violence and the COVID-19 pandemic has made this problem worse.
As UNI and as unions we can help. We can raise awareness on this issue and support our unions and governments in the adoption of an ILO Convention and Recommendation to eliminate violence against women and men in the world of work.
For this reason, we would like to invite you to join us in this new stage of our Breaking the Circle campaign – There is no mental health with violence. Share our posters for each day, as well as our infographic and ask your unions to do the same and to tag us. And don’t forget to use the hashtags! #ratifyILO190 #16days
UNI Youth’s push supports unions that see mental health as a union issue
On World Mental Health Day, UNI Youth is launching a campaign to help unions combat the growing mental health crisis around the world. As the Covid-19 pandemic rages on, workers are increasingly suffering from mental health issues such as stress, burnout, anxiety, substance abuse, and depression.
Through collective bargaining, unions can ensure that there are proper frameworks and policies in place to provide mental health assistance, and as part of its UNI Yeah! campaign, the youth arm of UNI Global Union is supporting unions who are making mental health a priority.
To do this, it is launching a mental health social media kit to aid UNI affiliates around the world who are fighting to ensure their members’ mental health is protected.
As the spread of Covid-19 continues worldwide, young workers are suffering the consequences of the pandemic. Unions are playing a crucial role in supporting them—and protecting their health, incomes, and jobs. Watch UNI Youth's #solidarity message to all those on the frontlines!
